When deadheading, cut down to the bottom of the flower stem (in late Summer).

This plant spreads greatly and can aggressively overtake the area where it was planted. Rigorously prune runners twice a year. Remove all runners escaping the desired plant area.

May be mowed after flowering in order to get rid of the spent flower spikes and clean up the planting.
