Pruning / Cutting Back
Prune flowers after spent to encourage leaf production and help ensure repeated blooming all Summer and into Fall.
Spring: Trim back battered foliage.
Late Fall: Remove yellow or dead leaves & spent stems.
Winter: Mulch to prevent the crown from heaving.
Site Selection & Preparation
Thrives in part shade, but will grow in full shade. Best site is a semi-shady location.
Plant in humus-rich, well-drained soil.
